i got my quad back together today and when i was putting the head on i ripped the gasket under the jug so today when i got it out for test ride it ran great but when i got back i noticed oil everywhere on the mootor so i cleaned up the oil and pput some silicone around where it was leaking and am now letting it dry. do you think this will work.

I've heard of guys doing this as a temporary fix on racing engines in cars, but only the high temp stuff, but it was just a quick fix. But they would always replace with a gasket afterwards when they worked on the motor again. I think your best option is getting a replacement gasket. But that just my opinion.

yea thats the plan but i have been having problems so i wanna just get it up and running for a week or so and make sure that it is working great before i go buy a new gasket and waste time and money on it
