Mogadore, Oh
did a quick drawing of a sprocket guard today, fairly simple but ive got a guy that can laser cut them out so ill need to get a quote from him on what these would cost to cut out. this is just a single sided. i was thinking doing 1/2" thick?

if your going steel go with 1/6 and cut two sides. just a better setup IMO. 1/2 inch will be HEAVY!

yeah like it will bolt to both sides to protect the chain and help the chain stay on if it gets too loose. i think weston made some out of polymer. i know deadlast got a set!

1/4 is all you will need, keep a eye on it, it being steel it will be prone to break the studs. The 450 guys haveto drill and tap em to a m10 to keep from breaking them.

Huh really would doing aluminum be better then

would you mind sending me that CAD file?
Ya ill email it to you of course it's rough rough just to get some ideas for dimensions, there's no center lines

i think delrin would be the best material for it. stiff, flexes well w/o breaking, slides well, and durable. and super light and cheap! and yeah it would be appreicated if ya would email it to me!

Delrin is to soft to use, slick, but soft.

Aluminum is better then steel but still has no shock absorption in it and will eventually crack, chip and because useless.

Uhmw is what I use, its a dense slick plastic, I have yet to have one go bad. And you cant stain the stuff.

i have 1/4 Aluminum plate i think 3 or 4 ... 4' by 10" plates if you need a peaces let me know beastly
