Has anyone bent/broke their connecting rod or crank? I'm pushing some pretty good power through mine and i'm wondering if i should upgrade before i really mess something up.

I rebuilt mine after it was driven with NO oil.....For a FULL TANK.
After looking at the Melted piston, rings welded to the cylinder, and 1/4' of Aluminum welded to the walls I thought the worst.

The rod was .001" out on side to side play, and dead on for end play.

The bottom end of a warrior is pretty damn tough. Actually SUPRISINGLY tough.

I didn't even split the cases...Just flushed with Berkeblie cleaner, and put it together. 5 hours later, and still purring.

LOL! thats awesome.

I was not putting big work into a 200$ basket case.

I know of a 2001, and a 99' that suffered the same fate. These people cannot understand that the oil dipstick is there for a REASON. This is the THIRD Warrior this kid has blown up with NO OIL. THIRD ONE.

The last one decided to grow a leg though...:)

How the hell can you just accidentally have no oil in the crankcase? I mean mine drips a little oil, so I have to add some every 10 hours or so, but geez how can you end up with NO oil? And even worse, how could he do it multiple times?

One Word.

*******.

This kid has more money than god's accountant. He has had for cars in the last 3 months:
1995 Concorde
1996Mk7 Lincoln (2 of these..both totalled)
1999 Lincoln Towncar
1998 Durnago

All were totalled, or beat into submission.

He just does NOT check fluids. The 2001 warrior needed the sprockets and chaoin replaced, and the chain adjusted. Told him so, he proceeds to drive it 20 miles to the riding area, throwing the chain, breaking the case, and fubaring the rear hub. :loser:

?Instead of having me fx it for him, he takes it to some hack mechanic, charges him 500 bucks, and when it comes back the rear end bearings are cooked. He's dropped 3K into a quad he paid 2K for.

But then again, being a Crack dealer does not require much in the way of common sense,

I'm surprised it took a whole tank! Mine locked down after about ten minutes. When I took it in for the first service, they forgot to refill the oil after draining it. I got home and rode for a few minutes. I heard something and thought they'd just left something a little loose, so I was heading back to the house when it cut off...lol, luckily going downhill toward my Mom's house. I coasted into her driveway and pulled the dipstick. There was oil on it so I wiped it off and put it back in, pulled it out.....nothing, put it back in, pulled it out...nothing, screwed it down, screwed out...NOTHING! I grabbed a flashlight and shined in it, sure was shiny! LOL

I live about 40 minutes from the dealership that performed the service that day. It was around 4:30 and they close at 5:00 so I high-tailed it back and called em on the way to make sure they didn't leave. When I told the service manager that there wasn't any oil in it, he said "that's strange". That was NOT the response I wanted so I was fit to be tied and ready to lock him down when I got there. When I pulled up, he had a couple of guys get the raptor off the truck and push it into one of the stalls in their shop. A few minutes later he came back out and apologised. He assured me they would have it fixed asap and just kept apologising. He wrote out that they would give me extra warranties and that they would replace everything that could have remotely been worn. I could have demanded a new motor but figured that was just as good. I've never had a problem with it at all and I rode it very, very hard for a couple of weeks after that.

I always check oil after someone else changes it, but that day when I checked it I was still at the shop and just pulled the stick out, seen oil and put it back as I was talking to the shop guy. Evidently they'd never pulled the dip stick and wiped it either.

No body but me will ever change my oil again LOL.

thtas good to hear ive had my frends bike he never changed the oil in it and he drained it and never put oil in it he got bussy doing stuff for a party they were having and he went back out and got on the warrior and we went for 3 hour ride that afternoon with no oil in his quad we got back i was changing mine at my house the next day and he came upon his bike and i checked his to see how much he put in it there was nothing in it i tore the clutch cover off it and it was all chunkey from wher he never changed it and i told him i got to pull the motor and check it cause he did not put any in it he was all worryed he would half to buy a new motor i pulled it down the cyclinder was gone the rings were almost stuck to the piston and we went on ebay and got that top end kit for a good price and we got that and an oil pump and i put it back togather and she still runing today fine but now i do all the work on his bike lol cause he has no clue on what to do to it. the total bill was like 300 and something for the parts pritty cheap and luckey i think for what itwoud of cost him for a new motor
