Just wondering...A buddy just picked up a 87,and it has no air filter in it...curious if you happen to have one of the factory metal air filter screens you put the filter over..??...I had an extra...chucked it about a month ago

I have a K&N with a precharger cover. Its used and little dirty but still a good upgrade over stock. $20 for that.

Screen? The filter is one unit, its a drop in. Does your buddy run a foam cover?

He has no filter right now... was just goin by mine,I have a UNI,and it goes over the stock screen and then drop it in...

Also, I just got to thinking. You buddy have a airbox for a drop-in filter or the adapter to have a clamp on filter? Just the way you worded your stuff makes me wonder. Just want you to get what you need.

I do have an extra complete clamp-on UNI if thats what your really lookin for.

He has no adapter....the airbox when he got the bike,didn't have any part of the filter in it...not even the factory piece that you slide the uni filter over,then drop in...

So....not sure...
