stock shock adjustment

Hello guys how do i adjust my stock shocks on my 2000 yamaha warrior?

I too would like some knowledge on this subject! Doing rebuild, so no money for new suspension yet. My fat ass wants a better smoother ride through the woods!!

All you have is the preload or that thing you spin its on the bottom on fronts and top in the rear

do you just lift it up and spinn it

and you have rebound on the rear. it is the bottom flatblade screw on the shock. you should use a spanner wrench to tighten the preload.

So do you just lift up on the show and twist?

I just use channel lock pliers to turn the bottom through the notches.

On the bottom of the front shocks, there are steps and a tab. Just turn the collar to whatever spring preload you desire.

It's the round part on the bottom that the spring sits on

I don't have any pics. It's the notched, slanted ring around the shock at the bottom of the spring. If you turn it, it changes the pressure or compression of the spring. I don't know how else to explain it.
