so i went to replace the swingarm bearings on my 98 yesterday and the swingarm bolt is good and stuck in there. i know that these things are notorious for seizing inside the sleve so anyone got any tricks to get it out?

sawzall and get a new bolt off ebay of somewhere..... and also drill and tap the swingarm for a grease zerk in the middle.....

WD-40...heat with torch...hammer back and forth WITHOUT "flowering" the end of shaft...more WD-40 and heat...repeat as necessary...

Cursing may or may not help.
Seems to work for me though.

pb blaster does wounders when i restored my 1949 farmall cub every bolt had to come out and it would only come out without breaking off or striping it if you used pb blaster and sometimes some heat.

If you have an air chisel get the pointed end attachment and air hammer it out. Make sure you have the nut on the end so you dont f-up the threads. Thats how I got mine out.

I had a mechanic tell me once to carefully use a impact and work it back and forth the hammer action will break the rust loose. BUt heat and lots of lube pb blaster is good stuff, there is also some spray thats made for breaking rusted bolts loose and gets into the threads better.

This is by far the beat way to handle this procedure...All those needle bearings inside will come out in pieces.

yupp, let it soak up the blaster as you spin it inside the sleeve. It might take a while or a few days of overnight penetration, but it will come out eventually. Least warriors don't have the z400 issue.
