A friend of mine bought another warrior last Friday. His old 97 has low compression (brought it to me for diagnossis), and he was already going to look at one in NC for $700. The guy listed some of what it had in the cl add. My friend that it was a scam, but the guy called him back. Anyway, he gets it and it is flooding out, and filling the air box with fuel, so to me it went. Cleaned the carb and reset float height (needed it BAD), crankcase filled with gas (drained, flushed, changed oil and filter), cleaned air filter and air box, installed inline fuel petcock and new line + clamps. All is well after that. Did a general check over and this is what he got...

38mm mikuni round slide,
k&n filter, outerwears, modded lid
FULL fmf exhaust
NEW maxxis razrs
aftermarket drive chain slipper
swinger skid
aluminum bumper
rear rack
barnett clutch
dome piston (don't know what it is)
and what i later found out from the extras that came with it, a megacycle 252x1 with kibblewhite springs!
There may be some more I can't remember, all for 700! Lucky *******...

Well we went to a ride that one of the hunt clubs puts on, and we lined them up. He beat me a few times, I beat him a few times. Hard to be even when you don't have someone to flag you off the line, he had new razrs, my rears are close to needing replacing, he has the larger carb and that megacycle. My bike has tons of bottom end and is geared for the trails. I kept wheeling off the line, even in 2nd. Was lots of fun. Now I know what improvements I need to do. To this engine atleast... I'm thinking biggest thing that will need to be done for the stroker is an extended swinger.

Damn....Nice.

Its kinda of funny though. I see guys on warriors and start l,isting all the aftermarket stuff that is on there quads and they have no idea, they say "thats how I bought it!".

True dat!^^ I was pleased with mine overall. Considering it only has 13/38 gearing and his has to be taller cause he didn't go through the gears near as fast as I had too. But, I did build mine for the trails and to climb any monster hill I feel like tackling. Lol. I'd actually like to get into woods racing with the current engine. Oh, and score one for the wardogs! We rode between about 30 riders that were stopped for whatever reason, and as I putted through in 1st I heard one guy go ,"dude! that's and old warrior!" Thought that was freakin awesome. I made sure to hit 2nd and pull the front end off the ground!
