Tether kill swith installation

I bought a tusk powerpull tether kill swith, and I had a question about the installation. Has anybody installed a tether switch by wiring into the stock kill switch on the handlebars, instead of splicing into the stator wires like the instructions say? I spliced into the handlebar switch to install the tether on my cousin's lt250r, but I don't know for sure if it'll work the same with the warrior's more complex electrical system.

i have a prodesign teather kill switch.. i spliced it in under the hood AFTER the coil.. and then ran the round to one of the screws that holds the front fenders on.

So nobody tried installing the tether switch by splicing into the factory switch?

Over on http://www.bluetraxx.com/, under their tech tips they have a write up for this. But I'm not sure of the specific placement of theirs. I just saw it on my way out, and figured you might be able to use it.
