Tonight I was working on my clutch, when I happened to get curious and shine a light into one of the oil channels going into the center of the motor. I saw something that didn't belong there, which when I pulled it out turned out to be a washer about 1 inch in diameter. I have a feeling that it got in there a couple months ago when I had the shop put a new starter clutch in. Any ideas what this came from and if I should be worrying about it at all? I swear every time I fix something on this warrior I find 5 new problems with it.

Well most shops have dipshits working on quads that do not give a **** about your (the customer's) stuff... I would not be surprised; this is why I take it upon myself to fix everything on the quad and install everything.

I am going to do my own work from now on, since I found a washer floating around the bottom of my motor. If it's running ok should I be worried about anything though? I'm going to stop by the shop tomorrow and see what the owner has to say about it. This has me more frustrated than a one legged cat trying to bury a turd on a frozen pond .

Just keep your cool and don't speak to anyone except the owner.

Anyone else is likely to try to cover their ass, and in the end the owner is the only one who can do anything about it.

Oh, the irony of that statement!

;D[/quote:s1zgaljd]

Hey its true lolol I speak from first hand; EVERY shop ive been in has people that just dont care about your stuff.

I stopped and talked to the owner last night. I showed him the washer, and he told me that the only place a warrior has a washer like that in the motor is on the shifter shaft. I wasn't sure I believed him until I looked at the end of the shifter shaft(under the clutch) and it doesn't look like a factory weld that attaches the shaft to the bracket(thick heavy weld, metal around it is discolored from the heat). My guess is that the previous owner(whom I never met) broke the shift shaft off of the bracket on the end, and didn't know about the washers or didn't care about them when he pulled the shaft out to get it fixed.
