Ok...........Im gonna bust your balls. : )
Pull the bolts outta the throttle housing and paint them! : )

Oh n I polished mine the same way. Looks pretty neet that way.

haha I polished mine that way too, it would have been a pain in the ass to get the spots between the lettering looking good, and then staying nice looking after it gets wet and dirty. I got some allen head screws at the hardware store for my throttle cover, they don't rust and look much nicer than the stock screws.

ALLENS.........Good Idea. I did that to my stock carb.
I hate Yamaha.......screws. i thing there a mix of lead and aluminum............LOL

lol instead of painting that chain thing u shoulda just bought a new carbonfiber one or sumtin like that.. and now u need to polish the WHOLE throttle housing...

this was a cheap solution sence i dont have a job

but good news..... i applied to 4 places today

for the throttle cover, go to a finer grit of paper, end up at a 500 grit or 1000 grit paper and it will really shine, it is much easier to wet sand (add a water if the paper says wet and dry sand on it), the grit made actually helps in the sanding process. Once your done sanding and you can hardly see the scratches get a can of mothers mag and aluminum polish and a soft cloth and polish it up, it will make it look a ton better, good job on the polish now, but you can still see scratches, go the extra mile and you will be MUCH happier trust me.

And if you want to polish more an easy thing to do is the oil filter cover next time your doing an lube job.
And I'm not trying to rib on your polish job, I'm just trying to help you out to make it look better.

Chad-

Just wanted to thank you for providing positive input without flaming.

Your reply here was well put.

It's nice to see someone provide positive criticism without starting a flame fest.

u should sell it

JK ....wetsand up to 2000 if u want some serious BLING BLING ....then polish it with a terrycloth buffing pad on a high speed drill....(itll come out much shinier than by hand) and some mothers aluminum polish....shitt'll look like chrome

hey thanks thats all i intended it to be, thats what I was kinda afraid of was him thinking I was just tryin to rip his polish job. Thats what I was aiming for was to provide feedback and not bash someone, hoping that people will do the same for my quad.

And warriorspeed, I'm just as broke as you are and probably a little bit more (pay off the quad and insurance coming up) so I'm lookin for the same somewhat free mods that I can do too, I'm sick of looking at the boring dull engine, so I've been thinking of ways to dress it up a little.

We gotta get a sprocket hub and sprocket now!!

The one we got off eBay was listed as witting a Warrior, but after rebuilding everything whe went to put it on and there is NO WAY it fits on a Warrior axle.
