Anyone familiar with this place? How do i join and how much is it? I went to the web site, but nothing seems to work. Some help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

I used to go to Tower City quite a bit. It was getting too expensive. I think it's up to 175 for a yearly membership, or 275 for a family membership for a year. Tower city's trails aren't that great anyways, lots of them are rocky and rutted, they're poorly marked so it's easy to get lost or end up on private property, and the thing that always worried me the most is that it wouldn't be too hard to get yourself killed if you aren't paying attention. There are cliffs, dropoffs, mine pits, and all that crap leftover from when the place was being mined for coal. If you find yourself going over any of that stuff, there's a good chance you're either getting airlifted out of there, or going back home in a body bag. The last time I was there was last year, and their trails had really went to hell from when I had membership back in 2000-2003.

Paragon Adventure Park is about 40 miles away from Tower City, right up 81, and is an all-around better place to be. You can pay to ride by the day, their trails are better taken care of, and new ones are constantly being added. Plus it's neat to be out there, along with buggies, jeeps, and other vehicles tower city won't let out onto their property. They have a few more rules than tower city, but it's for the better. Mainly, there is only one way into and out of the trails, and they keep track of who comes and goes so if somebody wouldn't come back before 5 pm, they can start a search party. If you were at tower city, had a crash, and ended up stranded with a broken leg, you're pretty well ****** unless you have a way to get help for yourself.

If you're intrested in it, I have a group ride planned for next weekend (jan 20-21), and you're welcome to tag along.

Isn't Tower City connected to Rausch Creek also? Place sounds a lot like Wellsville was. They had that place ranked the third hardest place in the country to ride, and people were constantly getting air lifted out of there, and quite a few were killed. But all that aside, the place kicked ass. There's nothing like watching an H1 Hummer or a sand rail climb the side of a cliff....lol.
