uni air filter

so i just got my uni filter in and it has a small hole in the end of it, whats the deal with that

well i just looked at a diagram and it looks like the oem filter had some sort of cage inside the filter do i need this

if it's just the uni foam then yeah you need to use the stock cage insert so the motor doesn't collapse the filter

i figured it out found my old stock filter, never thoght about it when i got my k&n i just tossed the stock one in a bin. ha ha
