i bought a 95 warrior for a couple hundred bucks, really awesome condition. just needed a few things which i already had..anyways on to my question. i have an odd Spark / no spark problem which i think may be a bad cdi....

ok here it goes

I can turn the bike over for a few tries and i get NO spark
After a few tries i get a WEAK spark
After a few more tries i get a STRONG spark and its starts and runs beautifully like nothing is wrong...now the wierd part (i would say stator but this is why i think its the cdi)

The bike will not shut off by the key or the kill switch! i have ohm'ed and tested all electrical connections and all the switches operate as they should. i checked all the grounds as well. i know the white/black wire coming out of the cdi is the only wire that grounds out the ignition thus cutting spark....anyone ever have anything like this before. im a little stumped, and dont want to spend 175$ on a new cdi if its possibly just a stator problem. i want to add, i di-electric greased all plugs and connections, checked ground wires (all 7 of them)

Pulser coil is going bad/almost completely bad.

it turns off with the key right?

Will not shut off by the key. Anyone know of a cdi test procedure?
