so my feeler gauge reads inches at the top making me think .08 and .18 is the mm which it isnt. however, the mm reading below it reads like .356 for example. i dont the exact .08 reading. so when adjusting the valves the correct feeler gauge to use for me feels so thin its like paper. Am I going crazy or did i just realize ive been going way to loose and my gauge just doesn't give perfect mm readings?

so ive been doing it wrong the whole time then. thanks guys.

While we're on valves can some one help me with valves... So... My 95 warrior was ticking a little ( I dident know that that was normal) so I decided to try my first valve clearence adjustment. It went wrong... It ticks sooo much more than it did its BAD

If you have cams and don't have the specs set it at .006 for both and ride on.

As for your getting louder did you set it at tdc before setting the valves?
