What are the minimum connections out of the CDI that are needed for the engine to operate ??

I am using a customized warrior chassis and engine for a "street legal bumpercar" (Google it). I am finding that the majority of the OEM circuitry (wiring harness) is unwanted.

what circuits wouldn't you want? just delete them haha. i would think you would want all of the circuits on a warrior plus turn signals and even a few other lights.

without looking at a wiring diagram, you are going to want the wires from the stator and the orange one to the ignition coil. Of course somewhere along the lines the key switch ties in there. Also there are reverse and neutral safety switches in there too, that is where things get complicated with relays and such. I imagine the neutral and reverse lights would still be beneficial on what your doing so if i were you i would copy the stock harness with custom length wires here and there as needed.
