So im in the procces of replacing the old bearings in the rear ends, and i go the axle nuts off no problem, but the sprovket hub is rusted on there. pb'd the heck outta it, heated it up and hit it about 100 times with a five pund sludge hammer and a metal pipe, and it budged about 1 mm, but wont move anymore. any help? :-/ :-/ :-/ :-/

If you got it to move at all then your in good shape, PB it again and hit it back, that will get some of the spray into the splines, then try to hit it back out. Out and in, like rocking a car outta mud. It will eventually come off.

yeah im not 100 percent sure it moved, just looked like theres a little bit more of a gap but were just gonna end up haveing to get it glowing hot with the ocytelen torch

thats not a good idea at all to heat up the axle like that, i believe the axles are heat treated and if they are and you put a lot of heat to them, you will mess up the heat treat and will probably break. just something to think about, id never put any heat to my axle because of the heat treated process they go through. it could possibly shear the axle in half on the first ride you take it out on if you put a torch to it

F it then, Cut the damn thing and buy a new used hub. Rust is a bitch.
