Hi Guys,

I cleaned up the carb of my ebay purchase yesterday and accidently blew off the washer on the carb. Now I know I'll never (ever) find that thing again in the mess of my garage and it will take 3-4 days to get my order from RMA in the mail, but does anyone know what the thickness of that washer is or if it lines up with the edge of the carb when installed? Only saw that thing for a split second on the gum'ed up carb before it flew off.

I want to get the Warrior running this weekend and I'm just not sure if that washer will screw me over on that.

To clarify, I'm not refering to the plastic bowl thingi, but the washer under the main

Sounds like something I would do. I know the washer is thin, not sure exactly what's purpose is..

by some miracle I found it...it actually got stuck between the floats, it sits flush with the carb body :)

still couldn't get it to run w/o carb spray...its getting the fuel but just wont start..back to the drawing board...compression @ 130 three cranks cycles and 145 on 5 crank cycles, that should be good enough to start

i guess i'm gonna check next what jets the previous owner put in there, maybe thats the problem :bump:
 
Are you getting spark? Pull the plug out of the head, reconnect it to the wire, put the end against the head, let the engine crank once or twice and look to see if the plug sparks..
 
Spark n' all is good, jets are two sizes up, figure because of the FMF pipe.

So I cleaned the carb out again and turned out that the float needle was all gum'ed up, didnt take it off in first cleaning as it looked 'good' on the surface but when I took of the float and pulled that needle out it was a different story. Cleaned all that gunk out, float needle had seen better days but good enough for a trial.

Started right up, drove it around the yard, than it carb started overflowing, already ordered carb rebuild kit with need float needle.

By the way, getting the rear tire off was easy, but getting one on with tire irons was impossible, local Mr. Tire saved the day for 20 bucks and put on them Kenda BearClaws for me.

Another note, had to replace the clutch plates, all done, but took an extra hour because one of the screws on the engine case (or clutch cover, whatever its called :) ) broke. All but three came out no problem, but the ones closest to the cylinder where a PITA. drilled it out, retapped the thread, new screw in, anyone else had problems with these screws?


I'm new to 4Wheelers but ridding it for 1 minute already got me hooked :)
