I'm just wondering if it will hold up or strip out it says its heat treated and hardened aluminum

Well most people use the yz250 shifter. I used the moose racing steel folding banshee shifter because I have the pullstarter and the big bear oil cooler. Had to mod it to work, but I think it is supposed to work for non big bear modded, non pullstart bikes the way it comes new.

Heat treated alum= forged if done correctly
hardened=anodized which is like plating I

I would get it, my 450 comes stock with a cast alum shifter, just keep it tight and your good

u can get a MSR yz250f shifter for the same price i believe. So far its been great for me.

I ended up going with a MSR banshee shifter. It was long enough that after I bent it around the pull start, my big feet(size 16) were comfortable riding without bumping it in rough terrain.

holy hell man size 16!!! me 10.5
ya think it will work good though?

I was planning on going with the yz 250 shifter but they are the same price as this but used

i went with a outlaw racing folding one for a yz426f. it fit perfectly and works awesome. its aluminum, almost exactly the same as that one. i have size 11 and i ride hard in rough terrain. very durable and easy to do,great cheap mod.

[/IMG]I got the yz250 aluminum one from msr. Had it for about three months, no problems, no bend, or strip. Works great just don't over tighten! Mine looks exactly like this one, except a red knob.

I got size 13 and my shifter works great. Just got to ride the bike with the pegs and heal supports I made. Awesome! Big difference. Rode it a little harder (still have 5hrs breakin time left) and the front end gets light on ya now. The bike on a whole is like a diff machine than it was 2 months ago.

I just swapped out my stock main for a 155 and threw the HMF back on and WOW what a diff huge power increase from stock
gonna go out to the ATV park tomorrow and rip it up and see if she is running rich or lean. If she's running rich do I just turn in the pilot air screw?

ugh mine doesnt feel any more powerful than it was stock

Beastly, what mods have you done? You got a 366 right? I have noticed a huge difference from stock to what I have now.

Hauler, the main jet is for the wot setting. If it's rich at wot then back it down one size and retry. The pilot jet and it's screw are for the idle cicuit (idle to roughly 1/4 throttle). The jet needle is for the mid range.

well I just have it set up like the engine was when it was in the 92 warrior thats the only thing they changed in the carb on the 92 was the main I think thats what the HMF exhaust calls for

I still have to check what notch the needle is on but she runs great. how do I check what notch the needle is on I know how to take it out of the top of the carb but getting the needle out to see what notch it's on is the ?

Look into the top of slide, and down in it you will see 2 small phillips screws. Take them out and the arm on the 02 (spring and cable on the 92) will pull off the slide and the needle will come out.
