I am going to look at it on weds. Do you think it will cost alot to fix?

1989 Yamaha Warrior in good running condition. New rear axle, axle bearings, rear hubs, rear wheels, and rear tires. New front and rear sprockets. New performance clutch. New handgrips. Also has rebuilt carb. Does have a rocker arm tap but local mechanic says it does not need a top end rebuild yet. Runs very strong and fast. No broken plastic, one small tear in seat cover. At this price I am taking almost $900 loss. Price is $700 firm. I also have the parts and owners manual on disc that will go with it.

girl if it dont smoke and all is good it sounds like a good deal. only thing is the rocker tap? it could be that the valves needs adjusted. or if its a knocking noise it could be piston slap or a knocking rod...

How can you tell if it the rod knocking? I talk to the guy he told me it starts right up it doesn't smoke. He took it to a shop and they told him it might need some top end work in the near future.

yeah if its an 89 and its all original it will prob need it soon. things dont last forever, sadly haha. ummm when you go look at it listen for a knocking sound toward the bottom end of the motor. im sure there will be ticking noise from the valves but warrior are always ticky happy. if its the rod or crank id stay away from it.

Sounds good,
I will try to see if its loud and if its coming from the lower part of the engine.

Yupp yupp, loud lower end is nothing but trouble. time and money can fix it but there are hundreds of good cheap warriors out there for sale.

$700 is a great deal.
