Sounds more like you have a carb issue. If I'm not mistaken there is only a hand rull of grounds as far as the wiring harness goes. Good chance I'm wrong it's been a while since I did any harness work on one. There will be one from the negative battery terminal to (i believe) a crankcase bolt just above the countershaft sprocket. There is usually a ground on or near the coil mounting bolts. I wanna say that's it but best thing to do is pull your body work and physically check all the connections and search for all grounds. Clean any grounds with steal wool/wire brush/ or my favorite scotchbrite pads. Apply dyelectric grease and fasten them down again. Don't just clean the frame, clean the ground eyelets themselves and blots. Also check for spark. Put an inline spark tester on and run it. Hit the throttle an watch to see if you lose spark, that will tell you for sure that there is a ground/spark issue. If it restarts everytime after it dies I have a hard time believing a ground problem. If the problem persists, check your air filter and all induction system componants. Make sure all clamps are tight and boots are on good, and that they are free of cracks, breaks, splits. Double check the intake manifold between the carb and head! They have a nasty habit of going bad. If all is well there inspect the carb.
