Thats my sprocket/chain kit and I cant tell if its a good setup? Is EK a trustable chain company? what about the JT sprockets? WHat would be a minimum chain tensile strenght? would I be able to go with the next lower kit (economy) and have only a 6400lbs chain tensile strenght and still be safe?


Another thing, Rev Boxes? Pople swear by Dyna tek but what about pro-com, big gun etc.. the ebay specials, theres some for like 75-80 bucks, is it worth it? It adds more rpm, but can I trust my machine at that high? will I ever go that high or is it easier to just save 80 bucks and shift to my next gear?

I got that same kit back in June..road a lot of XC racing style riding..lots of hard acceleration and have only tightned the chain once..JT sprockets are about the best known steel sprockets there is..As long as you dont get aluminum sprockets youll be fine...If your going to get a rev box stay away from anything but Dyna tek. they are the only adjustable box there is. I think anyways..everything else isnt worth having unless you just want another bax.
 
As long as you're not buying real cheapass chains and sprockets, like the no-name kits on ebay and the primary drive stuff rockymountain sells, you should be fine. Just make sure it's an o-ring or x-ring chain if you want it to last. Tensile strength is a non-issue with a warrior, you'd have to do something horribly wrong to break a chain.

The "econo" chain and sprocket package on that site is junk though, a non o-ring chain isn't worth **** unless you like oiling your chain every 5 minutes, and don't ride in mud, water, dirt, dust, etc.

Dynatek is the only real worthwhile CDI for the warrior. Reason being, the warrior doesn't have a rev limiter from the factory. Even if it did, those boxes would suck because they're notoriously unreliable, they don't provide spark if the battery is even a little bit low, and they have a tendency to burn up while you're riding. So stay with stock unless you're ready to throw money at a dynatek.

I have the dynatek and money can be better spent for other mods like a good cam or piston. Just about the last thing you want to do, mod wise.
Go with an 0-ring or some type of ATV X, Z-ring. They will last so much longer and you won't have to adjust it every other ride, clean it and lube it as well. The only reason people like the non-O-ring stuff is that it will give you a little less horspower loss through the chain.
With 20 inch tires I could pull 15T front 40 rear gearing with a carb kit (airfilter) and exhaust to the to 10,000 rpm until the valves would float.
 
Try 'Sprocket Specialists' as well, they make great sprockets, and they carry every kind of chain imaginable. Prices are good too.

EK's are decent chains, DID and Tsubaki are excellent. I've had great results with the RK 520 conversion I did on my GSX-R.
 
Ok, would I be able to go with the "Econo" set instead of the racer, and put 20$ to something else?? would the chain stretch more? what happens if my chain stretches to the point where my tensioner bolts are all the way and the chaiins still in good shape?

I'm assuming it is an O-ring chain, doesnt seem to say either way. If its not, dont bother.

Otherwise, I dont see why not, its rated for 6800#, which is way more than enough for a 18-25hp ATV.
