My eyes sucked and i went as long as i can without glasses but i was finnaly forced to get them. I have to wear them for a while until i get glasses. And i was wondering if i shoudl get otg goggles, or maybe some of you guys have found that regular ones work. My dog got ahold of my old ones so i cant try them on.
O by the way, glasses suck.

I don't wear goggles, can't stand them. Just get a really cheap pair of glasses for when you ride, so you don' t have to worry about scratching them up or anything. When I race, I put goggles on at the line and as soon as the flag drops they're off....lol. I just feel too cramped and get too hot with goggles.

yakusa- damn bro..... how the hell dont you get kicked off the track lol. one quick rock and your eyes are done man. try different goggles for a better fit and pay the extra buck if you have to. thats like not wearing a helmet man. all that money for that new ex and your eyes are gone. up to you but just sounds really dumb especialy for racing.

i dont mean to offend you but thats not a good message to be putting out there. im sure your an excellent guy and i mean nothing personal to try to offend you, but i dont want to see young kids not wear goggles because they saw the fast guy on the ex fly by lol.

otgs are ok.... just get contacts. it takes 20 seconds to have both in and they are excellent. for the extra dough you spend on crappy otgs you can get a sweet set of slayer utopias, or one of another brands best. not one worry while ive had the contacts btw!

O dont worry im getting contacts asap. My doctors not letting me get them until this summer. He says i need to get used to glasses. bulshit. It is amazing when you get a pair and realize how bad your eyes suck.

I wear my glasses for when I ride, so I don't get anything in my eyes. They're not as good as goggles obviously, but in the 10+ years I've been riding I've never had a problem. You'd actually be surprised at the races how many people take them off. They get muddy and run out of rolloffs, so they take them off. I've never seen anybody say anything about it. But just to be clear, I wouldn't recommend anybody ride without goggles or glasses. Definately have something to cover your eyes.

Eh? What's that supposed to mean?

He's getting at even regular sunglasses aren't (for the most part) impact resistant. so wearing anything other than goggles, or impact resistant glasses is just playing the odds until you may be wearing a patch...

I'm not normally not one to speak down upon others actions, but this i personally don't agree with, but then agains it's my oppinion, and my eyesight, and i would like to do all in my power to keep it.

As far as the OTG goggles. I have a set, and it offeres a lot more room to breathe via vents since it has to clear the glasses, and keep them from fogging, so more surface area to fog = more venting to keep them from doing so. I like mine, though i don't wear glasses, i still like the OTG goggles for riding.

Wow, never expected the big excitement over wearing glasses opposed to goggles. I actually do take my eyes very seriously, I wear safety glasses and hearing protection at work because I care about them. You'll never catch me riding without helmet, boots, gloves, pants, and a long sleeve jersey either. I guess it's just a personal choice and for myself, I feel pretty safe with glasses on.

I say wear what your comfortable with, but in South Jersey you get behind someone on a trail, and you'll have sand in your eyes like nothing. Being out in front I'll take my goggles off and ride but once somone gets in front of you, they got to go back on. A good pair of safty sun glasses won't stop all the sand from going in your eyes.

i dont even wear anything under my goggles, i do need my glasses to drive and thats about it, i tryed them riding and they ****** up my depth perseption and i kept running into **** so i just wear goggles now.
