Honestly I can't think of a worse way to widen a quad aside from making spacers out of wood and duct tape. I wouldn't even ride a machine with those things on it. Those things are just plain and simple dangerous. You can get reglular wheel spacers for about the same price, and although I don't like those either, it's still a step up from just extending the studs like that. Those stud extenders are putting way too much side to side tension on those lugs, when they really weren't designed for any at all.

That's just asking for a giant wipeout after landing a jump, just get some offset wheels or flip your rims, that's alot safer.

I can't believe that they want $65 for that.... kinda a rip off.
It cost me about $10 to flip my rims (bought flush valve stems).

damn I knew it was too good to be true. What is a good offset wheel to go with? I am planning now on throwing on a g force axle in the back this spring to widen the rear a bit, who makes a good offset rim? I have seen the upper and lower control arms on rocky mountain atv but they are a little out of my price range right now. Ill do some research on here and if anyone has a suggestion on a wheel they use let me know, thanks guys!

By the way, sorry for double post but how do you read offset on a atv wheel? I see some are 3+5 and others are 2+3. What will widen a warrior more, a 2+3 wheel or a 3+5 wheel? I am confused but I did do a bit of research. Thanks

One of those numbers is width, the other is height as far as I know. I think the first is width and the second is height.

EDIT: Crap you're talking abour wheels,. I read that as arms for some reason, disregard this. :-[

That should help you with your wheel offset question.

As far as which wheels to use, ITP T9 Pro's are about the best you're going to get for the money. Usually run about $65 per wheel, and they're solid, good looking wheels, and you can find them in just about any offset you want. I'd recommend either 3+2 or 2+3. 3+2's will add about an inch over stock, and are easier to find. 2+3's are a less common size, but will add about 2 inches per side over stock.

Keep in mind that any way you widen a quad without actually extending the length between the frame and spindle (extended a-arms or a diamond j kit) you will be increasing your leverage on the entire front suspension. This means more bump steer, more leverage on the shocks which leads to poorer jumping performance and more body roll in corners, and generally more stress, wear and tear, and potential for breakage in the front end.

I would just leave the front end stock unless you want to do it the right way. In my opinion extended a-arms is the only right way to do it, everything else is more of a cheap shortcut.

Also, a 3+5 wheel is an 8 inch wide wheel, that's a rear size only.

;D Thanks man thats a nice diagram and good info for me, I bookmarked the page  Well unfortunately I should have asked before buying but I have learn't my lesson with it. Now just to sav eup a bit of $$ by the end of april (its still a little snowy here but it will soon melt and riding will comence) so I can put on the a rear axle and some new wheels. Should be fun little project and ill post up pics on the forums. I kind of been hibernating from the forums as it was winter and i dont ride my warrior in winter too much. Thanks all for the help and wisdom!
