bought a used warrior for 600 on craigslist when i got it, would only run on choke and constantly had to give it gas to run. only mods are fmf mega bomb pipe stock header and a moose filter. brought it to my mechanic. he did a complete carb rebuild and adjusted everything float level jets, etc. idles great. so i live in ct and it snowed tuesday took it out for the first ride. at 2/8 to 3/8 throttle is fine but after that it starts to bog huge power loss the parking brake is deleted as well this is what i think on the air box there is 4 drilled holes to let more air in i feel the quad isn't getting enough air. when idling i can rev it to the limiter but under a load it bogs let me know what you guys think

Not enough air!?!?!!?!?!? That thing must be lean as ****! And there is no rev limiter...

I'm looking how to fix mine not purchase another that isn't help

If the Parkin brake has been deleted check the wire connection under hood after doing mine it had the same simptums by checking the connection it fixed my problem maybe yours is similar

Change out the main jet in the carburetor to a 147.5 and then it should run good

Bog is Al most always rich. 1/8 -3/8 is on the pilot jet which prolly wasn't changed that's why it runs on that. Turn in your air fuel screw til lightly seated and count turns. Start it at 1.5 see if it's good or lean lean usually back fires real real lean detonates rich usually bogs

Well if he or anyone put on these mods without touching the carb and or the mechanic put in stock jets it's lean.

He says the mechanic put jets in. Their prolly too big. He needs to see what's in there. I have dg full exhaust know filter holes in lid and bored over wiseco and need a 165 to be stock 1.5 turns on air fuel and runs beautiful. Elevations and temp will change that tho.

Just plug chop it at idle, half throttle, and full throttle, preferably on a slight incline to put load on the engine. But, flat ground does work. Once you can establish what circuit(s) are running rich, you can THEN take the carb apart and see what size jets are in it, and you can see what notch the jet needle clip is on. After you do that you will know what size jets you need to get.

Forgot to add; "rich OR lean"

what doesn't make sense is it idles perfect when in neutral and sitting you can rev the piss out of it and no bog delay or anything perfect response this leads me to believe it is a wiring issue i haven't had time with work and school to take stuff apart my plan is first to check the parking brake wiring and reverse ground i will then take a look at the carb again and get some numbers on the jet

More times then none, an ignition issue will be present no matter what you are doing. A carb issue may only present itself under load (hence why I said to plug chop it on a slight incline). Also, gap and install a BRAND new spark plug. I can't tell you how many times a customer has come in to my shop with complaints of their atv (or car) running poorly and it all comes down to an old, worn, fouled spark plug (s). There is an old saying that goes like this... Keep it simple stupid....

just put a brand new one in what is the recommended gap

I kno it's different but I had a boat do that to me last summer ran great untill under a load I replaced everything rebuilt carb etc only thing I didn't replace was the new coil previous owner put on finally gave up n tried another new coil solved all my problems
