allright so today i went to start my warrior up. i woke up at 10:30 so my fat ass could get a head start on one hell of a riding day. ;D then ate and got fatter.

now i go to turn the gas on, and as soon as i do this ******* gas is spurting everywhere out of my top carb bleed. now im like what the **** is goin on. My good ol pop and i thought that this line was connected to something that somehow disconnected. we obviously found no cure and were later to find, after looking at my other vehicles that it was infact a bleed.

we take apart the whole front assembly(before figuiring it out) to get to the tank, and to see what was going on. Still we couldnt find the problem. Now my dad was bitchy and was like, call a shop in the next town over and ask them what they think.

the guy was very helpful (country cycles in toms river nj), and quickly responded with the answer that it was my float bowl or float valve. He explained to hit and jiggle where the float was inside the carb.- no luck lol

We took apart the bowl and of course there the problem was. my float bowl was stuck up causing the gas to siit higher inside the carb and release through the top carb bleed. The reason was because the little cap resting on the main jet was upside down- last time we jetted it- Very careless mistake to be honest.

Now we put it all back together and it worked fine and ran but it was out of gas(from all the draining). Funny how it all works against me. We took it to the gas station, filled up and went down the street to a local spot to make sure evrything was ok, and get a short ride with the little one in.

As soon as we unloaded all the bikes started except for mine. I drained a completly fine battery trying to get it running. it turned but absolutly no life. my heart sank. theres been so many times where we have worked our ***** off on this quad and no life. :-[ :-[

i had to ride double with my little brother freezing my ass off lol. Turned out to be one hell of a day.

liek wht kinda of soud does it make when" it" turns... is it just your starter turning or is your motor cranking over also?

lol, dats ****** up. i don't think you fouled a plug unless you pumped the throttle a lot while trying to get to start. other than that i don't see wat the problem could be. check the float again, if it isn't that than may god be with you.

starter thats it. if it was still the float there would be gas spilling everywhere again

Change the plug just because when they get black they really never spark with the same energy again. Also charge your battery because a weak battery will make it extremely hard to cold start; it pretty much wont cold start on a very weak battery. Did you try and pop start it? Is your float still getting stuck? When ever you trouble shoot a quad not starting you should always check for three things - Spark, Fuel, & Air. With out those three the quad just won’t start so check for the following before you go any further:

1. Is my air filter wet or blocked enough that would restrict air flow enough to cause starting problems?

2. Is my plug sparking? Did I take it out and hold it against the frame to see if it sparked when I crank the motor? If it’s black replace it; don’t even bother cleaning it. Was the spark strong and consistent with each crank?

3. If the above two checked out It is most likely (and most commonly) a fuel mixture problem. You may be running way to rich or to lean (caused by improper jetting, carb assembly, dirty carb) and in these scenarios the quad just wont start easily (especially with out a strong battery).

4. Compression – There are other symptoms that would way over supersede just not starting one day indicating no or poor compression; this is however a possibility.

*CHARGE THAT BATTERY IT MAY BE YOUR PROBLEM!!!
*I am pretty sure you are running hella' rich and this is why she isnt starting. I am also pretty sure the dynajet instructions (if this is the kit u used) instructs you to throw away that plastic cap on the main jet.

yea, we even poped in a fresh charged battery and same thing. im going to order a plug tommorow, and a fresh filter is on its way.

we tried everything bro. i tried jumping it about 5 times, with a quad pulling me and there wasnt even a sign of spark.

also checked for compression leaks. nothing. brand new header and the head is fine.

I would bet on it being improper jetting then; did you check for spark? Order a sparkplug!? your dealer should have them in stock and so should any autoparts store.

i think the jets are on death. it was running perfect when all the gas was leaking out of the bleed. without a doubt i need a new sparkplug. the filter might have been a little blocked (a touch damp) with gas on the bottom but not soaked- if it was that would be the obvious answer.

Alright do what you think will work then - Fuel on the filter will only add to the over feeding of the motor since that will be aspirated as well into the mixture. I doubt its the filter and id bet money on your carb being clogged with something, something not put back together right, or impropper jetting that finally loaded the motor up enough to the point where it wont start. Did you check for spark...? If you have spark take the filter off and try to start it, if still no start its your mixture.

k thanks alot death. ill give the carb a look. what should i check for in the carb first? where exactly would it be clogged?

Just make sure it is supplying fuel when you hit the throttle. But mainly chack for spark and take the filter out then crank away; if she still doesnt start you jetted it wrong or something else is assembled wrong.

If your not getting spark at all and your sure the jetting is right try looking at your fuses. I've heard several cases where quads would suddenly not start and it turned out to be a damn fuse after a 90% hair loss. Like death said it could be very well a lack of compression, if your quad hasn't been rebuilt for quite a few years it may be due, that will make it a bitch to cold start.

He still hasnt answered if he checked for spark with a new plug with it grounded and out of the motor; waiting for that result....

i havent checked yet. sorry for that late response. i missed it every time. checked the fuse too boxhead. everythings fine. i have to wait till saturday to check for spark because the quads down the shore, and im up north. really sucks

i might be rebuilding soon so ill post some results on saturday

Hey, that sounds like ME!!! I go to take my quad to my friends house on saturday. I try to start it, the battery is dead. I moved it to put it on the battery charger, and there is a puddle of battery acid directly underneath the quad. My left front tire is flat and has a fast leak on the bead. I borrowed a stock raptor tire and its aluminum(mine are black), 1 inch smaller, and it isnt offset. Then when i get to my friends house, i have to push start it cuz the starter clutch is messed up. I finally get to ride it and my right rear tire starts leaking really fast. It was totally flat in 5 minutes, and its leaking out of the valve stem, so i put air in it and put a valve stem cap on it. Then i noticed it had a hole in the tire too, so i put a screw in it. Then i decided its time for Holeshots. Good Times!

that would make me mad...and dead(my dad would kill me)

hahahaha, yea...But its all in fun right. Its not life or death if it doesnt run...All the stuff thats wrong with it are normal Warrior problems (from what ive heard). I guess i ride a little too hard...lol. And warriorspeed, why would he kill u?
