I bought an '08 YZ250F shifter (http://www.ebay.com/itm/380396182588) and it fits perfectly, clears the case cover no problem.

The 250F shifters seem to fit the best.

I ended up getting a banshee shifter for the extra length to go around the pull start.

I don't have a pull start so I think the 250 will be fine. Yamahauler how do you like the folding peg deal on that one?

I was kinda worried about the folding thing but good to know its fine. So either the 250 or 250f will work? Gotta see what one I want to buy. Ebay here I come!

I you don't have a pull start get the 250F one. The newer 250 2 stroke shifters are just a bit shorter though. But they stick out away from the motor more than the 250F..

I like the more tucked in look/feel so I think ill look for a 250f one

Huh i had to bend mine out to clear

I have this one on my warrior, had to grind backside for the stator cover but shortest shifts iv ever had on an atv !!
