is it worth shortening your muffler? i have an fmf powercore 4 would i notice gains or just more sound?

You should gain a little more top end..it most cases it will be louder..but not always..and if it is..it isnt very much

look in the tutorials there is a thread in there..and also on EXriders.com there is a how to
I don't think the powercore 4 would be a real good one to shorten, it's tuned to give top end gains. Shorter pipes tend to give more low end power, so who knows what would happen, it could throw everything off and lose power all around. I'd leave it as it is.

well the reason is, is because it sticks out the same as my grab bar, i want the prm baja rear bar but it would barely touch

Generally on a 4 stroke shortening the pipe ruins the entire flow and you really could see a decrease all around. And from experience shortened mufflers are loud as ****.
