    yeah it's the air screw. As lean as it will go and its still rich.

    the 42.5 is what came stock with the bike, and it worked great until I cut the airbox lid off basically

    So I have researched and tried pretty much everything I know 2001 warrior My idle is too rich with a 45 and too lean with a 42.5.. Im starting to think the 45 isnt the right jet. The 45 has holes down the side and the 42.5 just has 1 hole in the middle and the threads are different on the 45...

    ok, so i been reading. I never really realized there was an AIR screw and the THROTTLE/IDLE screw. I havnt touched the AIR screw... that could be where all my problems lie

    OK, replaced those 2 o-rings, and replaced the spark plug. So I wont know if its running too lean or rich for a little while, BUT it will will only idle with screw ALL THE WAY IN but it sounds like the idle is too high. If i even lower it a little bit, it will eventually die

    I think you mis read- its running a little too rich, but it wont idle unless that screw is all the way IN

    I get all this, but going up 1 jet size made it really rich.. If I go down 1 size its too lean.

    I know what the jets do, what I dont get is why would it go from running just fine, not lean or rich when the air box lid was intact.     Like i said, im not sure exactly what main jet it is, but im at very high altitude ~9k Just wondering why it would go from running so lean it wont run without choke, to super super rich with 1 jet size

    I took my pilot up to 45, and my main is a 135 ( Its been jetted up for a while I just now did my pilot ) and now its running rich as hell :ohno: But i dont need the choke on anymore! :P now what >_>

    Sounds like a good Idea. So, say I do all of this and it still wont idle or go 1/4 throttle without dying, would i need to jet up or down? (I forgot to mention the throttle part, If i give it a little throttle (about to 1/4 throttle) it will bog and try to die.)
