would sanding that area of plastic first before painting help? plus if im gona sand my scratches out, do i sand whole fender or just scratched area? what all grits do i need to start with and progressively work my way down? (or up)?

can you inform me on what grits of sandpaper to buy?, also i printed off a honda logo and used a knife to cut out the black parts to make like a stencil... can i use just regular old rustoleum or some sort of regular spray paint or will it "melt" my plastic?

idk it seems like it would be cheaper to paint it... what could i use to get the scratches out with? they are pretty deep... looks like sombody took fender off and rubbed on blacktop...

so i got an xr200r and it has bad brush scratches... I wana paint the plastics but as much as my big ole front fender moves, im really worried about it chipping... has anyone on here used it? is it good or junk?
