Just picked up my warrior tonight and was told that it has been sitting for the past year or so. Went and got a battery just to see if it would do anything and it has no power when the key is on. I checked all the connections and everythings plugged in like it should be. Any help or suggestions is appreciated

mine did the same thing and checked fuse and it was blown. changed fuse and BAZINGA!!! fired right up

Thanks for the suggestions guys. This is a dumb question but on the run/off switch is run up or down? My switch has been shaved off and just has a small piece inside it and no markings.

just try it one way if nothing then try it the other way then you can mark it so youll always know, my 01 on is switch to the left, my 88 is where the 01s light switch is and its switch it down to turn on..

Same here. Mine is a 02. Left to right is on and off switch. Lights go up and down.

Did you charge the battery after you added acid? You should have power no matter what at least to the lights. Unless fuse is blown or ignition switch is bad. Should be a way to jump the ignition switch tho

If voltage regulator or reverse/neutral sensors are bad you won't have lights, it happened on mine. Best bet is to get a service manual and a multimeter and start testing

I'm assuming he means broke off.

If get a new one if their all broken who knows is anythings messed up inside

yep i would start there, get a new set of switches off ebay there cheap and id replce the rear fuse or atleast pull it and make sure its good, the switches on my 88 where all corroded inside and i would get nothing im mean no lights no starter no nothing! i took mine apart and cleaned it and it went right to working..

Messed with it a little after work and for some reason they had the ignition switch unplugged. Got it plugged back in and the taillight comes on and I can feel the solenoid clicking when I push the start button. Also it doesnt have the dash piece with the neutral/reverse light. Would not having those make it not start? Also messed with whats left of the kill switch and it still doesnt do anything.
