05 raptor 350 backfires threw carb

ok, this quad sat over the winter and hasn't been started since last year. the carb was all dried up, i cleaned it all out, and it started right up. but it idles odd and backfires threw the carb. it will only idle a few seconds till it backfires and dies. it runs good when you give it gas.

what am i missing?

sounds like it's too lean on the pilot. Either the the fuel screw got turned in too far or the pilot jet needs cleaned out.

thats what it was. i put a larger pilot in and it runs like a champ.
