Ok my warrior is getting no spark..! we just bought a new cdi and brand new coils inside the engine! and can not figure out why were still getting no spark! Does any one know what it could be? it turns over just no spark! could it be the clutch safety since the parking break was removed? ANd which year wiring harnesses wwill fit a 1999 yamaha warrior because if i dont figure it out soon im going to get a new harness then i know i dont hvae any shorts or anything else!!!! thanks for the help! its greatly appreciated!!!

check the stator, hat the exact same problem with my 99 when I bought it, was informed that if pull/bump started is very hard on stator assy and starter clutch assy. BUT a stator from YAMAHA is est. 450.00, with no returns or warranty, but I got mine from ricky stator.com for 175.00 with a one year warranty. I've no idea if there is a way to check the stator but a diagnosis from the previos owner taking it to a shop narrowed it down 4 me. Also before making a bunch of asumptions buy a CLYMER manual it tells you exactly how to narrow down your problem, but don;t by any means jump to conclusions that your harness is bad untill you have narrowed down everything else. So buy the book and test the rest of your electrical system first. Just my opinion...I could be wrong.

Surely you checked the ignition coil? You said you bought a new stator?(brand new coils inside the engine) If you have a manual it will walk you through the diagnostics steps to figure out why there is no spark. Seems like you have eliminated the high dollar parts, unfortunately it seems like you didnt need them! Maybe the ignition coil or a loose wire may be to blame. The clutch safety must be plugged into another wire I believe, cant think off the top of my head right now which wire it is, I believe it's the parking break wire maybe??? Someone on here has sent out the manual in a link, search the forums I'm sure you will find it.
