2000 Stator removal?

OK Guys Finally figured out what the problem is! now who can help me? How do i remove the stator on a 2000 warrior with details please!! I have the manual that is on this website for the 1997 but it doesn't say anything I purchased a Ricky stator but the lady said you didn't need a puller to remove. I tried to remove but it wouldn't come off I don't want to brake anything. Mech. here don't know **** only how to swap bad parts with the good one's Anyone done this job please help!!!!!

1) Drain the engine oil or tip the quad up on its side to prevent oil from spilling out when the cover is removed.
2) remove plastic side cover
3)use an impact gun and socket to remove the bolt from the end of the crank.
4)use a prybar and pry the splined end peice out.
5)remove all bolts holding stator cover to engine case and note where each one came from (there are different lengths and some have copper crush washers
6) tap off stator cover with a rubber mallet.
7) unbolt and replace stator
8)install new gasket and put back together in reverse order of removal.

Let us know if you run into any problems, I just replaced mine about a month ago, took about 25 min to do the complete job start to finish.

Thanks one question do I need to Remove the cam tensioner to remove the stator or is that for the cam chain? how is that ricky stator working that's the one Im installing?

you should not have to touch anything with the cam tensioner, you don't touch that part of the engine at all while doing the stator job.
the ricky stator is awesome, very good quality. I made a post about it in the reviews section.
