Another possible stator problem.
I've been having trouble keeping my battery charged. I've tested the stator connections according to my Clymer manual. Here are the results.
There are three white wires on the one connector. The manual says to test white to white so I tested the resistance between all three white wires and the all read .1 The manual says the white to white should read .70-.86. Am I doing something wrong or does this mean I have a bad component?
The Pickup Coil yellow to green and yellow to blue test read 185 and the manual says it should be 170-209 so that seems ok.
The Source coil, white/green to red also reads good at 293. Manual says it should be 270-330.
So what does the white to white test mean? In the table it doesnt say which component the white to white testing.
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!
