Just got an old warrior out of mothballs (5+ years) and after cleaning carb and complete service I found no spark. While checking switches and grounds etc it fired up and purred. Butwould not rev up very high. Reverse switch is functioning properly. Parking brake switch is bypassed. Changed stator and pick up coils (ricky stator ). Same result. If it starts it won't rev out but it ussually wont start because of no spark. Bump starting doesnt seem to be have any different results. Does it sound like a cdi problem to you guys or am I missing something? Im gonna double check my wiring tomorrow... again!
Thanks in advance
J

I replaced the coil with a known good coil off of my 1990. I was gonna swap the cdi but it has a different plug. I ohmed the original and new pickup coil. They were both in spec. The old one was on the edge of spec on one of the coils.
