Multi-Meter. Go off the reading that is in the Manuel. Free on is on here. I think the specs are posted up in multiple posts too.

Ummm. Lemme get back to us on this. for the coil, just touch the neg to a bolt or something metal on the quad and the pos goes up into the coil boot. The stator, I have to remeber what wires, course the black is to ground........

before the coil i get around 4.85ohms and after the coil i dont get anything, so im assuming its bad?

ok so i got the coil in today put it on and now i get bout 10ohms going out to the spark plug but still no spark

This is getting me so frustrated already i just want to ride!

ok on the pick up coils i get 193ohm and the source i get 339ohm, they seem to be in spec

Something to check, make sure its not grounding out, make sure the plug wire not burnt into, check the kill switch on the handle bar, make sure its not in the off postion, check the wires from there to make sure they aren't grounding out. Key switch, is it working right, make sure its not grounding out or gone bad. Fuse maybe?

kill switch is good, key switch is working also, only found one fuse and its good
guess ill double check the wiring

Did you make sure the kill switch works back and forth and is not stuck. I had a buddy that his kill switch was bad and was stuck in the off postion, and would move. Only other thing I can think of would be maybe the CDI box is bad, but would think so. Did you check the plug wire from coil to spark plug? CHeck the the spark plug itself? I have heard even good plugs can get cracked or go bad. If you can test spark through the spark plug, and check it with the plug off the spark plug.

I've had that same switch get dirty too. Cleaned the contacts up with some rubbing alcohol and it started right up. It's worth checking.

im sure the the kill switch is good because wen i put it in the on position the neutral light comes on and when i put it off the light turns off but ill go ahead and give it a cleaning

AFAIK the neutral light and head lights should turn on when you turn the key on. I'm talking about the other switch, on the left handlebar. Those lights will work even with this other switch turned off.

then they sent you the wrong year or you ordered the wrong year. call them and they will get it worked out with you
