Oh and you are right on the no way to test the CDI other than finding someone with a known good one and swapping them.

im not waning to text he cdi per say just wanting an accurate measurement of volts coming from the cdi box and the stator while the engine is turning over.ive seen stators measure with in spec but still not produce what is needed.

Whats your stator testing at anyways. Two different CDI's(that are a low failure rate item) and still no spark. I really think you need to look further than it, Ill look and see if I can find any other specs though.

this was the first cdi that i have installed.when i got it it was missing.
