97 warrior poping out of second gear

hi i am new to this forum
i took my bike for a drive today and every time i shifted from 1st to 2nd it pops into neutral, it only happens when i'm shifting fast, i hope its something simple.

Could it have anything to do with a somewhat sloppy shitlinkage. Also what is a shifting fork I have never heard that term before

No bigman your right that happens to me sometimes but it is common with the stock shifter, What year wardog do u have?

I don't know what year geardog I have I just got the bike last week, the bike is a 97 so I'm gessing it would be a 97

You can run a yz250 shifter and just bend it out and that should help alot

Dose it matter what year yz250 shifter to use

Nope the yz 250 and the 250f are the same but it doesn't matter what year they are just try to find an aluminum one it will be alot easier to bend

Hmm I wonder if that will work on the first gens because it looks like a direct mount shifter.
