Cherry rebuild on a 98 stock Bike with a brand new set of clutches and HD springs. Want a trail ride/ Poker run mud slinging bike not so much racing. What hone/bore does everyone suggest as I don't want to take much off as it isn't blown up just dawged out after 15 yrs the compression isn't what it used to be. looking to be steered toward a few top end kits and some useful insight or info maybe a S1HC? Nothing major just some pep in her step again. I do intend on rebuilding/jetting carb as needed as well. Where could I find a stiffer pen spring as well? :atv:Thanks

imo best trail/mud set up for the money is

.040 je
s1hc
12/38
22" bear claws front and rear
slip-on
uni filter
jet
and done

airbox lid stays for certain...got mudlites @ 1/4 tread and love those tires. But the bike still runs ok. could I get away with just polishing head and new stock piston with oversize rings?

you have links bones? where would I find 12 inch wheels for front and back and what would that do to my sprocket teeth ratio?

filter set up: http://www.ebay.ca/itm/Pro-Design-P...ccessories&hash=item46085f4c3c&vxp=mtr&_uhb=1

slip-on : http://www.ebay.ca/itm/HMF-Black-Ex...ccessories&hash=item2a1bda22cb&vxp=mtr&_uhb=1

and the bear claw size are 22x7x10 front and 22x12x9 rear and they will fit the stock rims

the sprockets will help a in turning the tire and gound clearance

would my filter box top still latch up with that UNI? Kinda worried about sucking water into the intake without one

what is the purpose of the vito key? i understand it advances timing? and would stock bottom end and valves and spings still be ok with these mods? say .020 83.5mm wiseco and stage one HC? or should I replace with HD valves/springs?

ok, leaning .020 over, 83.5mm wiseco top end kit, S1HC, Tusk Clutch with steel mod w HD springs, Rappy clutch cable set up, and vito key possibly. With these mods are stock valves/springs and carb jets (plan on pen and valve cap mod) OK with this setup? If not does anyone have links for oversize valves and HD springs? Need a cheap effective Muffler/spark arrester. Redneck Inginuity welcome here...

How much difference to the ground is the vito key opposed to stock time key?

rejet yes; valves/ springs no, raptor 350 muffler works great.
