Ah ha! That'll do it. Do what weston said, but, before you do, make sure that there is still enoug adjustment left in that chain. Don't want it happening again. If it were me, I'd be putting a new chain in there...
 
I will have to find a compression tester when I can. If it did slap the piston I'm parting this b**** out. I can't afford to take another hit with it right now by rebuilding it. I am going to order a new timing chain next week. I will let you guys know as I work on it.
 
lol, finally got around to taking the flywheel off this turd. it never jumped timing at all. the damn woodruff key sheered though. we are all safe in warrior land. got some keys ordered and i need to get some lapping compound for the crankshaft and all will be well.

there i was thinking the worst had happened and it ends up being something simple. never even thought of the damn key being sheered....
 
That'll do it. Did you make sure that it was fully seated into it's groove when you put it back together? I tap em home with a rubber mallet or dead blow hammer.

i feel like it was seated properly. could have been because it was boogered a bit. it was hell to get outta there.
