OK so i serched it on here back 5000 days , but maybe i didnt type in the right words

what i need is to know how far the accel pump rod/stem <<whatever you wanna call it is suppose to be away for the lever that ingages it behind the black plastic cover on your carb , i dont think my is working at all.... i took the cover off and nocticed the lever doesnt touch the accel pump even at WOT .... so.......any ideas?.... is it time for the "spring mod"

ok well i fixed that^^^ the pump rod/stem wasnt pushed all the way back up into the little black rubber boot.. so i got contacted now .. next question is how much movement should there be in the acell pump

i got maybe 1/8 inch of trael in mine ... it touches at about half thorttle and pushes in maybe 1/8 inch at WOT is this right or does it need adjusting

also did the spring mod while i was at it

If you dont think its right just do the spring mod. It helped mine alot.

im tellin you man , my carb is spotless.. ive clean everything u can clean

the arm that pushes the accel pump stem down into the rubber boot ...that plastic arm doesnt move the acell pump but about 1/8 inch i took the whole thing apart and i cant see any way to adjust the arm.. it sit on a stud with a square hole so there isnt any adjustment to it

hmmmm i dunno know then... im not postive but it think mine moves at least 3/8ths.... put a pen sping in there... maybe its not popping up enough

did the spring mod already and the is as far up as it can go ...its not engaging until about 1/2 thorttle then from 1/2 to full the arm that pushes it only moves it about 1/8 inch...so the only thing i can think of is the plastic arm is worn down so it doesnt touch...with the throttle not being touched , there is about a 1/2inch gap inbetween the arm and the pump stem ... that doesnt seem right to me but i dont know what its suppose to look like stock/new sombody
9with a proper working carb) take their black plastic cover off the side of the carb and take a pic ...that will help me out alot
