I believe so the box just said 55w . Anything under 55w would be perfect for the stator?

what are the specs of the OE stator ?
You cant just base your light purchase based on wattage translated to brightness.
specs of the machine's electrical system and ohm's law will tell you what lights will work.

to run 55w lights you need min. 12V @ 5A.
