Right now I'm running a clamp on K&N filter with the air box lid off. I've been thinking about cutting the bottom of the airbox for more air flow, and also to clear the rear banshee shock I will be installing soon.

My question is, will I see any gains from opening the airbox more instead of just running the lid off... or is it not even really worth it? And, If I do cut a portion of the box off should I jet up to one size bigger on the main?

I'm just used to my banshee's and I've never ran an airbox on those, just run pod filters directly clamped to the carbs. I ride about 99% sand dunes with this warrior.

Any suggestions would be awesome! Thanks

don't know if you'll notice anything, if your just duneing it there is always an option like this but personally I didn't notice a difference when I put a airbox bottom on and a different K&N filter

Yeah Elwood, that is kind of what I was thinking. I run the Ron Woods intake on my YFZ450 and i sure wish they made one for the warrior. Almost like a car intake that ditches the air box completely
