Okay guys so i have a n00bie question lol i tried searching for the answer already but couldnt really come up with what i was lookin for. anyway i just bought a warrior and the air box lid had been removed. now i know most ppl do this to increase the air flow buut im planning on taking my quad riding next week and with all the rain we have been getting here im concerned my air filter will get damaged. anyone know of a place i can get another lid or maybe another way i could protect my filter from getting wet? im almost positive i have the stock filter in place and noone has messed with it or anything other than removing the air box lid cover.

i had the same thing with mine but all i did was put a pvc pipe there instead and worked just fine

Hmm, makes me wonder. If the person that removed the lid wasn't concerned about how the filter is retained did they care about the jetting either?? Get a new lid, put some holes in it, study up on jetting (tutorials) and grab a good filter, I like my K&N but I've always used them in my cars, I'm sure others are just as good. You can also get an Outerwears for it to repel water & dust. It's kinda like a filter filter in case ya didn't know.

yes, i was wondering about the jetting as well. however, the bike seems to run just fine without any problems. i want to get a clamp on filter but i still need to keep reading up on jetting bc im not sure i can do it.

My bike ran like crap stock, I drilled out the lid, and took off the slip on part of the exhaust, it ran amazingly great.
