I have a Supertrapp 4" race can on my Warrior, classic oldschool pipe, I like it but I'm curious if repacking it will do any good? I've heard of some people doing a repack & gaining a lil power but I'm not sure if that's very accurate. Anyway, I have no idea how old this thing is but I resurected it from a Warrior that burned, cleaned it up, removed & cleaned the disks & put it back together. Been runnin it for a few months now. It's a lil loud but has a cool thunderous roar to it. I just don't think I can get the core out of it, anybody have any luck with this sort of thing?

I'll check into it, honestly, I reallyreally like the ole Trapp man, kinda has grown on me, basically, I was interested in seeing if I can improve it at all.

No pics man, it's just the round 4" race series, Supertrapp still has it on their website.

Repacking might gain you about 1-2 HP but IMO I wouldn't bother repacking it because it sounds cooler that way. If you take out the spark arrestor you will gain about 1-2 HP I think. But then If "Ranger Rick" catches you, you'll get a ticket.

i have one, it was brought brand new in 1997, my brother bought it and i have the document saying when he bought it in 1997, that is how long my warrior has been in our family. I have tried to repack it, but it wont come apart, i have had the screws out of it for 2 years and still hasnt blown apart. I havent messed with it much, but if it ever comes apart, ill repack it.

I too love it, I dont think ill ever get rid of it, the mount broke off who knows how many years ago and we made a different one, and you would destroy the exhaust long before the mount would ever break. I think the old school ones are great for these machines

ya on a super Trap the arrestor is the end plate and stack of plates. Red Headed has an old school 3" super trap, I do really need to see if I can get it apart for a repack.
