Im thinkin of just hittin this with clear along with hubs and leavin it shiny........yea/nah?

only thing worring me about those holes is moisture. leave them open and more goes down in rusting it fron the inside. weld them and moisture stays in there rusting from the inside

Could take the ole air compressor and hit em with air for awhile then weld. That might help get out the moisture.

TY Bones, any other info on other questions i had anybody???? Muffler? clearing those parts?

I wouldn't clear the dog bone it's aluminum so not gonna rust and muffler should hold up but won't be long and the rust will start coming through again

yea i really can leave it or paint it, but i kinda like the shiny 4 now. The muffler had holes, i did a ****** fix once n it just blew out, now i took my time and used "quick steel" prob gonna blow out too. What kinda muffler is that? can i shine it up ? what u see is just wire wheeled............... also if i take baffle plates out (as i did) will it make it quieter? its a loud *******!!! a real cop looker!!!:bird:

possibly a supertrap? no markings on it antwhere? it might get quieter if you remove them

:haha:ah hell after another look it says SUPERTRAPP on the back chrome plate, barly readable

Damn good guess then I'd have to say so myself
Thank you very much I'm taking a bow now

IN A NUTSHELL:
i hope 2 be getting blasting done, got some **** primed, decided to take engine out n paint (gonna make da frame stuff n engine painting so much easier) i need to take carb off as i see it to get motor out??? wiring harness----scares me-----anything i should know? should i litly blast engine or just scrub? then paint? should i just paint head or what? if ya'll get a chance look again at my proposed paint scheme in general topics (paint n stuff) im gonna try to go for most of it this weekend:haha: i know its alot and im sure more to come.............project been going on to long now. Oh n to jump way ahead about my motor....................................doh forget it.............im gonna wait 4 those ?'s

I personally would paint the head black(and sand the edges of the fins so they show aluminum), clutch cover and stator cover hammered black and leave the cases plain aluminum

that would look pretty sweet on your bike ... i want metal flake blue motor polished fins , stator cover, clutch cover , valve covers, and cam cover

You say clutch n stator cover hammered? that paint is not Heat paint, ya think it will hold up? how hot does it get around there? all in all i like it, gonna see what they got at store, looked into wrinkle/caliper paint also, they are for heat n come in colors.

Bones I would love to polish the clutch cover been really thinking on it but it's just so much damn work and with riding season coming on Tuesday I still have to get my new clutch installed and test the 157.5 main jet if they ever come maybe I'll try polishing the 92's clutch cover when I swap it out with the modded 02's cover on my non riding day's lol any tips or info on doing it would be nice too

well there's my rainy day project then thanks bones.
will any type of paint thinner work or do I need to be carefull with the aluminum?I usually use the **** in the spray can.
