i am soo mad, im replacing my bent axle and the bearings it tore up, i got evreything off EVREYTHING OFF except the sprocket hub and the rotor...is theyr any other ideas you have to get it out

Mine always took a wiggle N a jiggle and slid right off...........

I never seen them stuck b4...........

My sprocket hub slid right off, I wouldn't think it would take much more than a light tap to get one off if it did get stuck.

But that probably won't be the hard part. It took me 3 days with some big guys and a big hammer to finally get my axle out, but then my axle was still good so I was being careful not to damage it. Since your axle is already screwed i'd just take one hard swing at it with a big sledge and it should go flying out the other side.

we have hit it with a mallet, a bllpein hammer heated it up and tryed it and tryed heating it up and hitting the axle to try to get it out

What are you working at first? The sprocket hub or the entire axle?

what kind of torch are u useing a propain if so thats y it will not get the mettel hot enough to break looseit will work but it will take a long time to do it u half to use a asidlien torch to get thet thing hot as hell all the way around the sprocket hub and it will come off then if not u are screwed

I musta misread that the first time. If the sprocket hub is still on the axle must be in the carrier?

The axle is a bitch to get out.........I put a socket over my splines that fit it just right .
I did it to protect but you should for a more solid hit. Then go find a 5 pound hammer or heavier...
Your average hammer probabbly isnt going to do it!

Have somone hold the bike , then beat the hell outtta it...........It may take quite a few blows but it will go................

I dunno why your sprocket hub stuck on there.............see if it twist on the splines at all n then turn it to differant spots to try to get it off.

Soak the **** out of it with wd40 for a day, and come back and beat the **** out of it with a actual sledgehammer, not a rubber mallet. You need a impact to break it free. Your axle cannot be able to move upon impact also, make sure your quad is against a solid object, not just being held by people. If you are going to keep the axle than make sure you place a board (good solid oak or other dense wood) between the hammer and axle.

no, the hub is still on, i am using propane and liquid wrench, the axle is bent so its garbage, and i will bend the sproket hub if i hit it with the sledge hammer

Didn't you buy bad04s durablue...do what you gotta do to get that one out and put it on...By the way what year is that thing??

Do you leave it outside year round. There is a ton of rust on that thing in the ass end. Don't take it the wrong way, Im not bashing it still rolls doesn't it..Well not right now becuase you cant get the axel out...But it soon will......

no it has always stayed in a garage evrey night and it gets washed no later than 2 days after i go riding
ever sence i owened it

Ok. Lose the "Liquid Wrench" brand ****, and get some PB Blaster. Douse EVERYTHING in it HEAVILY. Let it sit for 20 min, then fire up the propane torch. Plant the torch on the hubs for a good 15-20 min, moving ONCE to the other side.

Then Spray again with PB while hot. The heat will suck the PB into the hub.

Whang the axle with a hammer a few good times and it should pop free.

To prevent this again, COVER EVERYTHING with Anti-Sieze when putting it back together.

I'll be sending that cash come friday.
