So my base gasket has been leaking recently, ive been letting it go and just adding oil accordingly. i really dont want to rip the jug off since im prolly gonna fudge it up and i wanna be ready for wellsville saturday....

sooooo can i use permatex silicone or anything else on the outside where the jug meats the case or is that not a good idea?

yea i mean i dont plan on keeping the quad too much longer really its kinda hitting the shitter i was just trying to do it for a temp fix so i can sell it and ride it a little longer until i get the new quad.

I put some on my base gasket 5yrs ago and it's still holding. I had one little spot in the carner that leaked, and just cleaned it and put some black high temp peratex on it. It was going to be a temp. fix but heck it still holdin up fine.

yea i did that to my bottom gasket for a whole year and it held fine. just simple high temp silicone
