Broken exhaust stud on head, is welding possible?

Agreed, Sparky. JBWeld is a band-aid. It doesn't fix the problem permanently.

Regardless of the way Alex went about it. The JBWeld would work for this application. Whether you guys prefer to use it or not. Like I said before, if it doesn't work he is out 5 bucks and a bit of time. Then he can spend the money on a new head if the JBWeld fails him.

It looks to me like we are not fixing threads, he said a portion of the head broke off. Jb weld won't hold that.
Pics could clear this up.
