Hi all just stripped my 01 warrior down and i thought id like to pick all your brains on a few questions

1. Im powdercoating the frame which brings me to the question of can i powdercoat the a arms or will it damage the ball joint or rubber cover. If not im pretty sure they can't be removed so do you need new a arms??????? Also can i powder coat axel hub with bearings in or will the process of the powdercoat damage bearings.

2. When checking A Arm bushins am i checking for play in the cooler to bush and bush to frame? They were very easy to remove bushes which makes me think they have been changed since new

3. What is the best paint to paint the hubs and calipers

Ok i think that is about it for now i will try to upload pics later of build for you guys to look at

Thanks in advance
Chris

Not sure about power coating the arms....Id ask the place that gunna do it. A little play is ok but if the play amount looks questionable it time to change them. Calipers you want to use a high heat paint, dupli-color make a good one and for the hubs use a industrial type pant.....something strong to hold up to the beatings.

Thanks for your reply mate. Decided not to get A Arms powdercoated. The company has said they have done a few warrior frames and the ball joints have not failed (over 3 years ago) But my luck they would so im gonna give a paint by hand. Decided to get some American Star Racing rebuild kit for A- Arms from Ebay $79 for the whole kit anyone had any experiance with these????

Chris

I don't have any experience with those rebuild kits specifically, but ASR makes good products for the money so i would think that kit would be the same. Definitely a better buy than the pivot works kits, that gets expensive real quick and they usually don't last as long as the regular bushings because the a-arm pivots are prone to moisture and rust the bearings to pieces.
